Handler: Mickey Januszkiewicz

Mickey is a retired Charleston Police Department K-9 Unit Sgt. where she was a handler / trainer / and supervisor for the unit 1987 – 2005.  She has handled three dual purpose dogs during that time.  She is a North American Police working Dog Association Master Trainer for utility, Narcotics and Cadaver.  She now handles K-9 Abby, a Labrador Retriever.  K-9 Abby was adopted from the Doc Williams SPCA and given a job.

K-9 Abby is certified Cadaver Detection with  North American Police Work Dog Association (NAPWDA), International Police Work Dog Association (IPWDA), National Association of Search and rescue (NASAR), and South Carolina Search Dogs.  She is a veteran of many search missions and loves her job.
